Occupational Safety and Health Policy (K3)
The Pharmacy Study Programs, FMIPA UII is committed to providing a safe and healthy work, training and learning environment for all academics, including lecturers, education staff, students, researchers and visitors. The Pharmacy Study Programs intends to prevent accidents and will take steps to make the Pharmacy Study Programs a safe place to work. This is the reason; The Pharmacy Study Programs is committed to:
- Safety and health
Make every effort to ensure health and safety at all stages of teaching, research, and development and commissioning of equipment/experiments and facilities. In this case, we will identify all safety and health hazards and continually review safety, health policies, regulations and guidelines to reduce, or eliminate, the hazards present. We will ensure that all lecturers, education personnel, students, researchers and visitors consider it a personal responsibility to prevent injury to themselves and/or their colleagues.
- No Accidents and Injuries
Make every effort to achieve a safe and healthy work environment.
- Environmental protection
Make every effort to minimize and reduce waste and emissions so as to preserve the local environment and also to save energy and natural resources to ensure that the global environment can be protected.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Comply with all university and legal requirements related to safety, health and environmental policies.
- Education and Training
Establish and promote safety and health awareness by offering in-house or external training courses, and communicating the importance of such awareness to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Continuous Improvement
Establish and implement management systems to ensure health and safety in our activities and to protect the environment, and continually improve these systems at all levels of our organization.
Responsible Personnel
- The Pharmacy Laboratory Coordinator has the main responsibility to provide a safe working environment in the Pharmacy Study Programs environment.
- All members Pharmacy Study Programs including all students, researchers and visitors have the duty to cooperate with the Head of Pharmacy Study Program or representatives in matters related to occupational health and safety.
- Lecturers, as Supervisors or Teaching Laboratory, Academic Organizers and Demonstrators of students, are responsible for all matters relating to the health and safety of students in their care.
- Laboratory Officers and Technicians in charge of Laboratories, Shops and Workshops are responsible for all matters relating to the occupational health and safety of persons employed in their Laboratories, Shops or Workshops and under their care.
- Education Personnel, including Undergraduates and Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Researchers, Research Workers and Visitors have an obligation to take care of their own Health and Safety and that of others who may be affected by their activities.
