Module objectives/intended learning On successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Apply an attitude of responsibility, dedication, togetherness and discipline based on sincerity, honesty and integrity in making solid preparations carefully and thoroughly.
  2. Explain concepts and design pre-formulation, formulation, manufacturing, quality control, stability and packaging of tablet preparations using herbal and non-herbal raw materials with the principles of quality assurance and sharia (halalan thoyyiban).
  3. Explain concepts and design pre-formulations, formulations and manufacturing processes, quality control, stability and packaging of tablet preparations.
  4. Explain concepts and design formulas for special tablets, coated tablets, and capsules.
  5. Design and develop formula for solid dosage forms.
Content This course aims to support Graduate Learning Outcomes in the form of pharmaceutical preparation skills, research and development and professional and ethical aspects. The scope of this course is the design and manufacture of tablet preparations which include pre-formulation, formulation, manufacture and quality control; special tablet preparations; coated tablet; and capsule formulation and dosage technology.
